Matt Jones started Molten Metal Works LLC as a part-time job, teaching basic welding classes in the back lot of Machine Project in 2009. Classes kept selling out and the business kept growing until it turned into a full-time business in 2012 and is still expanding. All told, MMW has taught close to 350 people how to weld (as of Jan 2013). The business has grown from teaching only introductory MIG classes to offering several six-week courses in MIG, Oxyacetylene, and TIG.
