Cindy was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She received her legal degree in Chicago where after passing the Illinois Bar she was a trial lawyer for three years. She returned to New Mexico where she continued her legal practice as a trial lawyer in civil practice – both defense and plaintiff. She was a Children’s Court Attorney for three years with Children, Youth and Families Department and later a Serious Violent Trial Attorney with the New Mexico Public Defender Department. 100% of her practice over the past four and a half years has been devoted to criminal defense. Cindy has tried numerous jury trials and countless bench trials. Her practice primarily focuses on criminal defense and representing children and parents in abuse/neglect proceedings.
